Track Progress

In the beginning

With a lake in the middle

Many pipes were needed

and no one gave up

The hills were flattened

Till a rough track emerged

Complete with rumble strips

Then ready to seal

Layer 2 goes down

Till the circuit is complete

But no rest yet

Both inside and out

Till a building emerged

Floors were then sealed

Flag points x 6

Opening day finally came

while all looked on

A bush block was found

First, access was made

And buried in the ground

First stake in the ground

And gullies filled in

Concrete by the truckload

Not so rough now

First layer of 3

With great care

And bill takes a walk

Safety comes next

Many blocks made the base

And soared up high

and glass closed us in

The starts nearly finished

and the sun shined bright

And the ribbon finally cut!

It was pretty rough

So trucks could roll in

The lake was then drained

The trees were felled

The contours were formed

Around 2.5 kms

Endless working bees

And the track takes shape

and then layer 3

And admires the view

Fence post by the hundred

Then steel puzzle solved

Before the weather packed in

with views superb

and soon we'll show green
